The experience
Have you ever discovered the deep canyons where waterfalls and mountain rivers are hidden? Have you ever visited places that you can’t reach on your own in Gran Canaria?
Localbird offers this activity in order to find out some secret spots in Gran Canaria.
We are currently descending a canyon in the middle of a jungle with waterfalls: a really refreshing activity with a landscape that will surprise you. A descent that begins with a 20-minute walk to reach the laurel forest. From there we expect more than two hours of descent through the riverbed following the course of the water with 4 rappels, the longest of which is 12 meters high. After this, we will go up the ravine on an adventure trail where we will stop to rest and have a snack.
We provide you with all the equipment (harness, helmet and neoprene) and we teach you how to rappel autonomously and jumping techniques. There are canyons of all kinds, but our guides will be in charge of advising you and explaining all the techniques during the descent. You will always carry a safety rope so that your only concern is to learn and enjoy this exploration technique. Our guides will inform you which canyon is best suited to your needs and which is the most appropriate to do on the date you select.
No previous experience in climbing or canyoning is necessary, only some skill in moving on mountain routes.
