The experience
Embark on an unforgettable journey through the three most important markets in the lower area of Las Palmas while pedaling through the most beautiful corners of the city. Accompanied by an Official Guide from the Canary Islands, you will have the opportunity to taste the most outstanding and special local products.
During this adventure, you will try exotic fruits, a variety of Canarian cheeses, and the best pinchos that the city has to offer. You will also personally meet the wonderful people working in small businesses, who will share stories about their products and traditions.
We will begin our tour at Mercado de Vegueta, the most historic and traditional market on the island. Here you can taste different varieties of the Canarian banana, our star product, along with other seasonal tropical fruits. Don’t miss the chance to try the first coffee grown in Europe: Agaete coffee, produced in northern Gran Canaria. A true delight!
We will continue enjoying the best views of the city as we pedal towards Mercado Central, located in the heart of Las Palmas. This market is essential for the local community, and you will have time to do your own shopping and explore its charms.
Finally, we will conclude our experience at Mercado del Puerto, a vibrant and diverse place where, in addition to traditional stalls, you will find bars offering an international variety of pinchos and tapas. Here you can savor local wines or beers and enjoy other iconic products such as Canarian cheese and papas arrugadas with mojo. You will have the opportunity to taste different varieties of Canarian cheeses, including the famous Queso Flor de Guía and Queso Majorero, recognized as some of the best cheeses in the world.
